Braille E-book Concept Design

This concept design would make a lot of sense to the blind. A braille E-book reader would help the blind read books since so few are in braille format. Here is what the designers thought about:

Visually challenged people require braille books in order to read. However, not many books are available in braille due to cost and inefficiency. Translating a 500 page book into braille nearly doubles the thickness. EAP is a technology that can dynamically change the surface pattern by way of an electromagnetic signal - simulating braille text. Not exactly a new idea but a nice executive nonetheless.

SmartQ Q5 reviewed

MP4nation has posted a brief review of the SmartQ Q5 and found it somewhat disappointing. This of course is in early stages so there is a chance for improvement. What Raz found was a slow player as well as non English OS. He also mentions that the browser was sluggish.

So based on his comments this device looks like it will be a poor man's Cowon Q5.

Personal Area Network Pack Windbreaker

The windbreaker is a geek's best friend. When you have to go outside, it keeps the outside off of you. Neither wind nor rain will get on you or, more importantly, on your devices when you're sporting the ScotteVest Pack Windbreaker, which comes with 17 pockets that use their specially-developed weight management system to keep you from looking bulky. Most of the pockets also are integrated into the Personal Area Network (PAN) system so that your headphones stay right where you need them, untangled. And two of the interior pockets are clear so that you can control your devices (including those with capacitive touch) without removing them from their protected slots.

But none of this probably surprises you. ScotteVest is known for these qualities. However, this jacket has something special. It's "more than meets the eye." In about 30 seconds, it transforms from a jacket to a 7 in. x 9 1/2 in. x 4 in. "pillow" so that you can take it with you practically anywhere. You might try to keep it as your "just in case" jacket, but we think once you start using it you'll decide it's your everyday jacket.

Nylon jacket in graphite grey. Machine washable.
