CRKT Tuition and Summa

Having reviewed both the CRKT Tuition and Summa I will compare the two here. Both knives were created by knifemaker Gerry McGinnis. They both share beautiful well put designs that make them very appealing.


The Tuition is short and wide while the Summa is tall and slim. The Summa has a 3.75" blade while the Tuition has a 2.88" blade. Both knives utilize flipper for easy opening with one hand.


The two knives have slightly different designs. The Summa has a black/blue handle while the Tuition has a black/green handle. Also on the Tuition the front side has a rainbow effect while the back has two shades of gree on the handle.


The choice between the two is a personal choice. I personally like the Tuition slightly better but many can argue for the Summa as well. The Summa will set you back $59.99 and the Tuition $49.99.

These flip type cameras are all the craze these days. They can record high def 1080p video. While the quality is not as great as a real HD camcorder. For their purposes they do fine as a pocket shooter.
